Monteverro Grappa is made from the pomace of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes grown on our estate. The fresh pomace, gently pressed, is taken to the distillery within 24 hours to begin distillation using a traditional discontinuous system with small copper stills.
Only the so-called “heart” of each distillation — rich in refined aromas — is selected. The result of this time-honored method is a smooth grappa with great aromatic variety and a bouquet of pomace, herbs, and flowers.
Our aged Grappa Riserva matures for 3 years in Monteverro barriques, which lend it elegance, harmony, and complexity.
